POTSDAM -- A “Jim”boree is being held Saturday, Sept. 29, from 1-5 p.m., at the Potsdam Amvets Post 282, on Route 11 between Canton and Potsdam.
The benefit is for Jimmy L. Buckley, an Army veteran who has end stage renal disease. Buckley is currently working with the University of Vermont Medical Center, waiting to to be put on the transplant list for a left kidney transplant.
Buckley’s doctors, however, would like to remove his kidney as soon as possible due to infections.
All proceeds from the event will go towards expenses not covered by his insuranc, transportation and food and lodging.
Buckley is currently on permanent disability.
The “Jim”boree will have raffles, music and food.
Donations can be made at Gofundme.com under Jimmy’s name.
