Jane F. Sovie, 79, Lisbon

LISBON -- Jane F. Sovie age 79, of Lisbon, NY, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, surrounded by loving family and under the care of Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Massena Moose Lodge.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Ms. Sovie was born July 7, 1944, in Ogdensburg, NY to the late James and Florence (Kiah) Sovie.

She graduated high school from St. Mary’s Academy in Ogdensburg and later attended Mater Dei College.

She worked for the Ogdensburg Psychiatric Center as a Therapy Aid, Highland Nursing Home in Massena as a Nurses Aid, and 15 years for Sunmount as a Direct Support Person in Potsdam, NY.

Jane spent 38 years with her partner, Karla Trimm.

She enjoyed her four-wheeler, camping, and horses.

Jane is survived by her partner, Karla Trimm of Lisbon; her daughters, Victoria Montondo and her husband, Nathan of Massena and Christine Phillips and her husband, Christopher of Massena; a brother, James Sovie of Ogdensburg; her sisters, Debbie (Christopher) Graveline of Ogdensburg and Marion (Brent) Littlefield of Arizona; her grandchildren, James Cunningham, Heather Smith, Seneca Roux, Michael Phillips, Matthew Phillips, and Mason Phillips; her great grandchildren, Hunter and Noah Smith and Aubree and Elizabelle Phillips; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, James and Florence Sovie; a brother, Edward Sovie; and her sisters in law, Darles Sovie and Marie Sovie.
