GOUVERNEUR – An inmate accused of assaulting two corrections officers in September has been sent back to jail after entering a not guilty plea.
Orland McGregor, 24, allegedly assaulted two corrections officers while being treated at Gouverneur Hospital.
Troopers say McGregor punched and head-butted the officers.
In February, Fowler Town Court issued a warrant for his arrest, police said.
On March 8, McGregor charged with second-degree assault.
McGregor was arraigned in Fowler court, pleaded not guilty and was remanded to Upstate Correctional Facility, where he is now serving his sentence.
