CANTON -- The recently formed “HUUmanist Discussion Group of the North Country”, will meet Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 3 ½ Main St.
Anthropologist Dr. John Omohundro will offer an anthropological perspective on humanism and open the discussion to the group.
Omohundro is a SUNY distinguished teaching professor emeritus who taught cultural anthropology and environmental studies for 38 years at SUNY Potsdam.
He is the author of the textbook, Thinking Like an Anthropologist (McGraw-Hill, 2006).
