OGDENSBURG – The annual Tastes on the River event hosted by Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley will be held Sunday, March 31 at the GranView on the River.
The gourmet dining event will feature several local chefs cooking special entrées.
Steve Maiocco of SUNY Canton Dining Services will prepare seared halibut with crispy polenta, wild mushroom ragout, sautéed spinach and tomato broth.
Eric Armstrong of the GranView will prepare chianti slow braised beef short ribs with sweet onions, Chianti Classico, garlic and thyme, served over a savory chevre’ whipped potato.
Matt Mooney of the GranView will prepare an Italian mixed grille, featuring a combination of veal cutlet, marinated chicken paillard and hot Italian sausage, served over wilted greens dressed in a blood orange and shallot vinaigrette.
Specialty soups, salad, bread and desserts prepared by local businesses will also be served.
There will be seating times at 11:30 a.m., noon, 12:30 p.m., 1, 1:30 and 2.
The cost is $40 per person and there will be a cash bar.
Proceeds benefit Hospice.
