HOPKINTON -- The North Country community is invited to a restoration celebration and rededication of the Hopkinton Congregational Church at 10 a.m. Sunday Sept. 7.
The church is located at 9 Church St.
After a brief rededication service, there will entertainment, refreshments, tours, fellowship and a time for remembrance.
Members, neighbors and historians are encouraged to join us for the festivities and view a beautiful example of 19th century architecture.
The church’s exterior restoration, recently completed thanks to donations from members and area supporters, returns the building to its original beauty.
Originally dedicated in 1808, it burned and was rebuilt in 1891.
The current structure with its period stained glass windows and pipe organ is under review for the National Registry of Historic Places.
