COLTON – The Colton Winterfest will feature the Higley Hustle, a day of cross country ski competition at Higley Flow State Park Sunday, Jan. 29.
The popular event draws people with its friendly atmosphere, with a bonfire providing a spot to warm up and enjoy hot dogs and hot chocolate.
This year’s events begin at 10 a.m. with five and ten kilometer classic technique races with divisions for all ages.
There will be 5K freestyle technique races at noon for all ages. Bill Koch Classic races will be held at noon for the younger competitors.
Awards for each of the races will be presented immediately after each race.
Following all the races there will be games on snow for the young and young at heart.
Registration for the 10 a.m. races begins at 8 a.m. Noon race registration begins at 10:30 a.m.
