Higley Flow State Park in Colton has been promised $850,000 for a new bathhouse at the beach there as part of a commitment funded in the 2014-15 state budget.

And Jacques Cartier State Park near Morristown is allotted $250,000 for a new recreational vehicle sewage collection station.

They are part of $90 million set aside to improve and repair 53 state parks and historic sites in the 2014-15 budget, according to an announcement from Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office.

The announcement says the Higley project will replace an outdated and deteriorating bathhouse.

A similar announcement from the governor’s office last year said that Jacques Cartier State Park would receive designs for the relocation and upgrade of the existing recreational vehicle sewage collection station.

The allotment for the entire North Country region comes to $4.935 million, including $2.85 million for a new beach concession building and significant upgrades to electric and water sstems and roads at Wellesley Island State Park.
