POTSDAM -- A Heuvelton woman was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs following a property-damage accident May 30 on U.S. Highway 11, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Terri L. Devries, 33, was charged after she allegedly lost consciousness while driving north on U.S. Highway 11 and drove off the roadway, officers said.
She was also charged with unlicensed operation and driving across hazardous markings.
She was arraigned in Canton court and released under the supervision of probation and it to face the charges in Potsdam court.
Deputies were assisted by an Ogdensburg Police Department recognition expert.
