HEUVELTON — The Village of Heuvelton will host a public open house Oct. 27 to gather feedback on potential downtown improvement projects through the NY Forward program.
The open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pickens Hall, 83 N. State St. Residents, business owners and other community members can review proposed projects and provide input to help the Local Planning Committee identify projects to recommend to New York state for funding consideration. Family-friendly activities, including a children's table, will be available.
The event is the second public open house held as part of the village's NY Forward planning process. The committee has been evaluating project proposals based on a series of criteria, with public feedback helping shape the recommendations.
The committee is also expected to hold its final meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 28 at Pickens Hall. The meeting will focus on developing a final list of projects to recommend for state funding. The meeting is open to the public, with an opportunity for public comment at the beginning.
