HEUVELTON -- A Heuvelton man is being held on $1,000 cash bail after he allegedly "engaged in inappropriate actions" with a child less than 11 years old, St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies said.
James S. King Sr. 51, of 134 State St. Heuvelton was charged with endangering the welfare for a child following an incident that occurred in July.
Deputies say King "engaged in inappropriate actions" with a child less than 11 years old when the child was spending the night at his home.
King was arraigned by Town Justice Michael Hebert and sent to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $1,000 bail.
An order of protection was issued to prevent King from contacting the victim.
