The National Weather Service is advising St. lawrence County residents that harzardous weather conditions are expected through the afternoon.
Numerous showers with embedded thunderstorms are expected across the North Country late this morning through this afternoon.
A few stronger thunderstorms are possible, containing gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning. Several rounds of thunderstorms are possible, most likely from the Adirondacks eastward across central and south-central Vermont.
This may lead to a localized threat of flash flooding this afternoon, especially in the above mentioned locations.
Weather is expected to improve Thursday.
