HANNAWA FALLS – A new group, The Hannawanian Turkey Trotters, will hold a Thanksgiving Day dinner, Thursday, Nov. 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Hounds Haven Field, Keener Road.
The meal is free for anyone but is geared towards seniors and shut-ins.
“We have 25 volunteers. we have four turkeys donated by Walmart and we need more, Eben’s Hearth is doing the cooking,” said Bill Melchior, one of the organizers.
“I’m amazed at the reaction we get when we tell people about this, and they want to donate or contribute in some way. It’s just awesome,” Melchior said.
