CANTON -- Cornell Cooperative’s new 4-H STEM educator, Fiona Laramay, will hold a hands-on class on the chemistry in baking bread and the physics of milling.
It will be at the Cooperative Extension Learning Farm on Dec. 30 from 10 a.m. to noon. This program is open to all youth ages 6 to 18 years old.
Cost is $10 for first youth and $5 for each additional youth from the same family. Parents are welcome to participate.
Participants will take home an unbaked loaf of bread in a bread pan to be baked at home. Participants will also learn about the physics of flour milling by milling the flour to be used.
Register by calling the Extension Office, 379-9192, by 3 p.m. Dec. 23.
