Freshman midfielder Christine Wright (Watertown, NY) continued to dominate the weekly awards for the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team, claiming her third Liberty League Rookie of the Week honor in the past month on Monday.
Wright, who was chosen as the Liberty League Rookie of the Week for consecutive weeks in mid-March, scored five goals and added three assists in a 1-1 weekend for the Golden Knights. She scored four goals along with three helpers in a 16-12 win over Skidmore and then produced a goal in a loss to Rensselaer.
Overall, Wright has a team-best 30 points with 20 goals and a team-leading 10 assists. She also is the Golden Knights' leader in draw controls (38) and groundballs (20) while ranking second in caused turnovers (9). Her point and groundball totals are the second-most in the Liberty League.
Gaining mention to the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll was Alyssa Cristaldi (North Syracuse, NY) for the women's team and Brendon Shearin (Goffstown, NH) of the men's team.
