MASSENA – The Massena-based Glory in Our Hearts Foundation is participating in American Heart Month with a Walk for Heart Health Saturday, Feb. 15 at St. Lawrence Centre, the mall on Rt. 37.

As part of the foundation’s heart health awareness campaign to prevent heart disease and increase awareness of its devastating effects, participants are asked to register at the mall’s Community Booth between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and walk the mall for 30 minutes.

Everyone who registers will have a chance to win a $30 Walmart gift card. All participants are encouraged to wear some red clothing to support American Heart Month.

The Glory in our Hearts Foundation is dedicated to enriching the communities of northern New York by providing financial assistance to children in pursuit of educational and spiritual endeavors, raising awareness of heart disease, and continuing the charitable work of Glory M. Rufa, who died of undetected heart disease at the age of 52.
