CANTON – The Java Barn at St. Lawrence University will feature the funk-folk band Goose from Norwalk, Conn., on Saturday, April 7, from 10 p.m.-2 a.m.
Goose is a Funk-Folk band based out of Norwalk, Connecticut.
The band’s music is both memorable and danceable, an organic and easy-to-love mix of funk and contemporary folk, with touches of reggae, jazz, blues, and rock, says their website.
Goose’s debut album “Moon Cabin” was released in early 2016.
“Moon Cabin” traverses diverse musical terrain with 3-part harmony vocals and hooks so big you can hang your hat on them, funky improvised solos and adventurous musical interludes.
The show will feature opening performances by The Quahogs, an eclectic rock band from Providence, Road Island; and Golden Oak, an Indie Soul-Folk band from Portland, Maine.
