Clear and cold temperatures over the past few days will shift to freezing and sleet Tuesday and Wednesday in the North Country, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

M.L.King Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 26. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming west in the afternoon.
Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 9. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph after midnight.
Tuesday
A chance of rain showers after 3pm, mixing with freezing rain after 5pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 33. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Tuesday Night
Freezing rain and sleet likely, becoming all freezing rain after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 28. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no sleet accumulation expected.
