POTSDAM – A free screening of the movie “For the Bible Tells Me So” will be open to the public Friday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 42 Elm St.
The film asks the questions, “Can the love between two people ever be an abomination? Is the chasm separating gays and lesbians and Christianity too wide to cross? Is the Bible an excuse to hate?”
Voices heard in this movie are those of Bishop Desmond Tutu, Harvard’s (now deceased) Peter Gomes, Orthodox Rabbi Steve Greenberg and the Rev. Jimmy Creech.
Popcorn will be served.
