POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Food Co-op will hold a food sampling Thursday, May 16 from 3 to 6 p.m.
Piedmontese beef from Sandefer Farm, Harrisville, will be available to sample.
The Co-op sells a variety of cuts of the beef in the freezer section of the store. Piedmontese beef is usually lean and tender. Piedmontese beef is also usually more nutritious than other breeds, because the meat contains higher concentrations of omega-3 fatty acids and lower amounts of saturated fat and cholesterol, acciording to the Co-op.
