CANTON -- Lee Knight will be in concert Saturday, Nov. 14, at TAUNY, 53 Main St., from 2 until 4 p.m.
The cost is $5 at the door.
Raised in the Adirondacks, Knight became interested in folk music as a teenager and wanted to learn the music and stories from traditional sources, people who had them as part of their culture and community for generations.
He has collected songs and stories from our region and other parts of the world, including England, Scotland, Central Asia, Columbia, and the Amazon region of Peru.
He works as a folk singer, storyteller and outdoor leader. He plays a variety of instruments, including five-string banjo, various guitars, Appalachian dulcimer, mouth bow, Cherokee flute, Cherokee rattle, and Native American drum.
