To the Editor:
On Saturday June 8 in the Village of Potsdam a parade will be held at 9:30 a.m. starting on Sisson Street and ending at the Village offices.
This will be a firefighters parade in the strict sense, as it will be marching units, bands, auxiliaries and fire apparatus.
According to the rules there will be no candy throwing by an department members or no lights used for flashing lights.
This is a little different from most parades we imagine that are held in Potsdam.
We hope that this parade will be a display to honor the volunteer fire service and thank them for what they do for each community.
We hope that all will cooperate and understand the meeting of this parade.
Thank you to the Potsdam Volunteers for working so hard to sponsor this event along with Norfolk, which will host events later in the day.
