GOUVERNEUR – A Gouverneur man was charged with two felony counts and a misdemeanor in connection with an alleged contraband incident at the Gouverneur Correctional Facility Friday morning.
Andre I. Williams, 25, was charged by state police with first-degree introducing dangerous contraband into a prison and concealing or destroying physical evidence, both felonies, and violating the state sanitary code, a misdemeanor.
The arrest came at 10:18 a.m., after the incident was reported at 8:41 a.m.
State police reported his status as “held.”
