CANTON -- About 2,500 National Grid customers in Canton, Pierrepont and to North Russell are without electric power this morning.
The area appears to include downtown and St. Lawrence University.
A caller from the university said the power went out at about 9 a.m.
National Grid estimates most customers will have power restored by 10:45, and some downtown customers by 11:45 a.m.
