MASSENA -- The Massena Artists Association is announcing the winners of people’s choice awards in their spring art exhibit.
First place went to Genie Rounds for her mixed media “Spring Spirit.”
Second place was a three-way tie. Marjorie Decker for her oil painting “Night Visitor,” Kimberly LaShomb for her oil painting “Hardscrabble Road Barn” and Judy Winters for her oil paintings “Chick-a-dee-dee-dee” and “Pink Attractions” were honored.
Third place went to two artists, Brittany Bigness for her oil painting “Under my Wing,” and Dorothy Goodrich for her oil painting “Shrimp Boats.”
Honorable mention was awarded to three artists, Eileen LaBarge for her pastels “A Place to Rest” and “Rainbow Eucalyptus,” Tamara Murphy for her oil painting “Brainardsville View,” and Kevin Matott for his oil painting “A Human Story” and his acrylic painting “Cthulhu Rises.”
The awards were determined by the votes cast by guests at the opening reception for the exhibit. Patrons who visited the Massena Public Library during the first week of the exhibit were also eligible to vote.
