MASSENA—The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will begin installation of docks and buoys along the St. Lawrence River in the vicinity of its St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project during the week of April 21.
The work is expected to take about two weeks, but is dependent on weather and river conditions.
Dock installation will begin at NYPA’s Hawkins Point Visitors Center and end at the Howard Park docks in the town of Waddington.
Docks and buoys will be installed in the Town of Massena at the Hawkins Point Visitors Center and Boat Launch, Massena Intake, South Channel, Massena Country Club, and in the Town and Village of Waddington, at Whittaker Park, the Old Milk Factory, and Howard Park.
All docks and buoys will be removed towards the end of October, before ice creates unsafe conditions for workers and the boating public.
NYPA will provide public notice in advance of this work.
