I’ve been reading about Dick’s Sporting Goods coming to Massena at the arena. I say it really should be put somewhere else. If all people are worried about is the $800,000, that’s just wrong. There is land beside Walmart, the mall and on Main Street where the church was taken down. If you take that land from the mall it takes away the field for the kids playing soccer and softball. It takes away from the heritage festival and when TNA wrestling or other big events come. Plus kids use it for hockey and other stuff like craft shows. The arena is a big part of our community. It will cause chaos between the arena and Ponderosa and I see it being too close and one big mess and more work than needed when there are other places with more open land it can go. It would be good for the community to come here, but I feel the arena is the wrong place to put it.
