POTSDAM – A Gouverneur man currently jailed on separate charges was arrested for grand larceny for thefts that allegedly occurred Dec. 6-8 at Walmart, 7494 U.S. Hwy. 11, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Shayne A. Austine, 21, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, felony and petit larceny, officers said.
Deputies allege that on Dec. 6 Austin entered Walmart and stole merchandise totaling $1,176.77 and on Dec. 8 he stole merchandise valued at $698.87.
Officers said he was issued appearance tickets to appear in Potsdam Town Court and sent back to St. Lawrence Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail from separate charges from the Ogdensburg Police Department.
