People complain about the crosswalk near the Roxy in Potsdam all the time. A few weeks ago I was trying to cross and had carefully looked both ways and waited for a break in traffic. The car in the lane closest to me was kind enough to stop, so I proceeded cautiously. It’s a good thing I was being careful and paying attention, because, of all things, a police car came speeding through the other lane while I was in the middle of the crosswalk. It was broad daylight and the police car didn’t have its lights turned on. Drivers need to expect that someone will be crossing there and be extra cautious.
