POTSDAM -- The Crane Wind Ensemble will present a free fall concert weaving together works by modern composers Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music.
Entitled "Musical Tapestries," the performance will feature "The Gumsuckers March" by Percy Aldridge Grainger, "Sea Blue Circuitry" by Mason Bates, "Passacaglia" by Ron Nelson, "Mosaics" by Timothy Kramer and "La Fiesta Mexicana" by H. Owen Reed. The Crane Wind Ensemble comprises 58 wind and percussion majors.
The ensemble performs as a full wind band and also in smaller chamber groups with varied instrumentation.
The concert will be live streamed on the SUNY Potsdam website at the performance time.
