CANTON — Local farmers who sell directly to consumers can learn more about pricing from a panel of experienced farmers on Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m.
Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County is offering a free webinar featuring three livestock and dairy farmers from around New York state.
“The Price is Right! Pricing Livestock Products” will feature Shawn Youngman of Youngman Farm, Shannon Hayes of Sapbush Hollow Farm and Sharon Van Orden from Crosswinds Farm and Dairy.
They will talk about how they decide what to charge for retail and wholesale sales.
Does the market determine the sale price?
Is the price related to what it costs you to produce the product?
Do you compare to the Grocery Store?
How hard is it to adjust your prices upward if needed?
Pre-registration is required so that we can send you the link.
