POTSDAM -- The Local Living Venture will offer a hands-on workshop Saturday, Sept 8, from 10 a.m. to noon run by Janet Lomastro on how to create a simple, high-performing, compost pile from yard waste and food scraps with minimal effort.
The compost pile will heat up in just over three weeks to create garden soil. A tour of a garden using compost is included. Registration is required with a suggested donation of $15, or $5 for students, to benefit the non-profit LLV/Sustainable Living Project.
