COLTON – The 23 members of Colton-Pierrepont Central School’s Class of 2016 received their diplomas at graduation ceremonies Friday night.

The class’s academic leaders this year, valedictorian Clare Jenkins and salutatorian Ethan Knight, both addressed students.

THE CSEA LOCAL 1000 SCHOLARSHIP for $100 is given to Katrina Johnson

MICHAEL H. CORBITT SCHOLARSHIP This marks the 43rd year for this scholarship. $500 is given to Morgan Burns, Alternate Katrina Johnson

DOROTHY B. AYERS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP for $800 is awarded to Clare Jenkins

THE NICOLE M. BAILEY SCHOLARSHIP, awarded to the stiudent who best exemplifies the virtues of honesty, integrity, and dedication, $500 to Morgan Burns

SAANYS Scholarship Award for $250 is awarded to an outstanding senior who exhibits high academic achievement, leadership skills, participates in school activities and is involved in community service: Ethan Knight

Community Scholarship Fund this year is awarding a total of $4,250 to seven recipients thanks to the generosity of this community.

c. A $500 scholarship is awarded to Riley Doyle

d. A $500 scholarship sponsored by the Restaurants of Colton (The Mahogany Ridge, Hideaway and The Raquette River Pub) is awarded to a senior who continually perseveres and works hard to overcome challenges, Morgan Burns

g. A $1,000 scholarship is awarded to Rachael Vaccaro
