POTSDAM -- Clarkson University’s Integrated Math and Physics for Entry To Undergraduate STEM Program (IMPETUS) will host its roller coaster competition on April 15.
The competition will be held in the multi-purpose rooms in the Student Center from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Students will test table-model roller coasters, which they have been designing and building since the fall. The model roller coasters will run marbles on their tracks and be judged by thrills, speed, etc.
There will be 15 entries from 11 different schools. Participating school districts include Brasher Falls, Colton-Pierrepont, Gouverneur, Harrisville, Herman-DeKalb, Heuvelton, Madrid-Waddington, Malone, Norwood-Norfolk, Ogdensburg and Potsdam.
The public is welcome to attend.
