Clarkson University's James Peploski was a fellows speaker and presenter at the Science Teachers Association of New York State conference in Rochester earlier this fall, according to the school.

At the conference, Peploski, associate professor and director of freshman chemistry, performed his "Chemical Miracles, Magic and Mayhem" show for the other science educators. He said the show, which features chemical reactions, explosions, color and fire, is an opportunity to get students excited about science, the school said.
