POTSDAM -- Clarkson University’s annual fall career fair Thursday, Sept. 18 will see a record number of organizations on campus, 162, looking to recruit Clarkson students.
There are enough of them that companies making the trip to the North Country will again be set up in the main student dining room while students will take lunch that day in a large tent outside the Student Center.
With only about 3,100 undergraduates and 600 graduate students, the 162 organizations registered to attend is a significant number for a school of Clarkson's size, a press release from the university says.
The number of recruiting organizations is up five percent since last fall, and 27 percent from fall 2011.
Of students who graduated in Clarkson's Class of 2013 and used the campus career center, 95 percent have reported being placed in their field of study or career aspiration in the first year after graduation, the university says.
