Students rehearse for in preparation for performances of 'The Matchmaker' Friday and Saturday evening.
CANTON -- The Canton High School Thespians will present Thornton Wilder’s play “The Matchmaker on Nov. 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets will be available at the door and cost $5 for students/seniors and $8 for general admission.
Horace Vandergelder (Zach Barnes), a wealthy merchant in 19th Century Yonkers, NY, decides to take a wife and employs a matchmaker, Mrs. Dolly Levi (Rachel Moses). Dolly subsequently becomes involved with two of Vandergelder's clerks (Eric Gagliardi, Issac Ballard), several lovely ladies, and the headwaiter at an expensive restaurant where this swift farce runs headlong into hilarious complications.
Additional cast members include: Anna Monroe, Sarah Rivers, Emma Crowell, Brandon Calton, Ricky Lashock, Zach Laddison, Madi O’Shea, Kiersten Larrabee, Hailey Leonard, Katja Schmid-Doyle, Makenzie Knowlden, Luke Frazer, Paul Labrousse, and Molly McMasters.
