CANTON – The Canton Goldenaires will once again be sending out quartets to deliver a singing valentine for a loved one or sweetheart Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The cost (donation) is $35. You name the place and the person and a quartet will deliver a love song (along with a rose and some chocolates).
Proceeds will benefit St. Lawrence County high school seniors with musical talent.
Applications have been sent or hand delivered to schools.
Six different scholarships were given out last year (ranging from $200 to $400). The schools represented were Massena, Canton, Gouverneur, Madrid-Waddington, and Heuvelton.
Over the past few years the Goldenaires quartets have averaged 40+ singing valentines each day.
Make it a memorable occasion for a loved one or friend with a singing serenade. There are even special renditions for the man in your life.
