CANTON -- The Canton Community Fund (CCF) has awarded a grant of $2,000 to the Canton United Methodist Church toward its “Steeple for the People” project.
This project involves major restoration work on the steeple, to mitigate several structural issues.
The CCF grant will go toward repair work to the stone sills underneath the steeple's louvers.
The church's grant application effectively spelled out the many ways in which the congregation provides services to members of the local community.
