Junior Aimee Caligiore was one of three golfers to put together back-to-back rounds in the 70s, finishing tied for third with a 157 total at the NYU Fall Invitational at Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern.
Caligiore shot 79 on day one on the 6,008 yard, par 72 course and came back with a 78 on Sunday to tie with Georgiana Salant of Williams and Jordan Glatt of Middlebury for third in the 66-golfer field. Flora Weeks of Middlebury shot 75-76-151 to win medalist honors.
The Saints were four as a team among 11 competing teams in the field. Williams won with a two-day total of 630 with Middlebury second at 643, Amherst third at 661 and the Saints fourth at 679, eight strokes ahead of host NYU and Vassar which tied for fifth at 687.
Melissa Snizek shot rounds of 82 and 87 for a 169 total, Julia DiGiovanni shot 85-88 for a 173 total and Kelly Hale shot her collegiate low of 89 in the opening round and came back with a 91 on day two for a 180 total to complete the Saint team scoring. Maddie Moore was the fifth Saint golfer and shot rounds of 98 and 105 for a 203 total.
The Saints will return to action at the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Sept. 24-25.
