BROCKPORT -- Senior Kaila Maguire of Potsdam and a member of The College at Brockport women's lacrosse team has been named a second team All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Region All-Star.
Maguire was one of five State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) players named to the first or second team.
Maguire becomes the first Golden Eagle to earn All-ECAC honors since 2010 when Melissa Hill and Jamie Kaminsky were also honored with second teamselections.
Maguire, a two-sport athlete at Brockport, was honored with first team All-SUNYAC and first team All-IWLCA All-Region selections.
Maguire made her presence felt on the defensive end of the field during her senior season. Maguire forced a team-high 31 turnovers while collecting 23 draw controls and scooping up 49 ground balls, second most on the team. Maguire finished the year with 14 points on 10 goals and four assists.
Maguire finished her career with 109 career points, ranking her 16th on the all-time Brockport list. The senior's 83 career goals rank her 15th all-time.
The Golden Eagles finished the 2013 season with a 12-6 record, reaching the semifinal round of the SUNYAC playoffs.
