POTSDAM -- Metalworking students from Career and Technical Education Centers Seaway Tech-Norwood, Southwest Tech-Gouverneur and Northwest Tech-Ogdensburg toured Jeffords Steel and Engineering Company in Potsdam recently.
Students examined automated equipment in action, practiced air-carbon arc cutting techniques, as the student in the photo is doing while the rest of the class watches, and listened to advice from Manager/Foreman Bill Henry about obtaining and maintaining successful employment in the welding field.
Instructors Nanci Collins, Dave Timm and John Hughes expressed gratitude to Jeffords for their continued support of the career and technical education programs.
