SOUTH COLTON -- A Boater Safety Course sponsored by The Higley Association and presented by NYS certified trainers, Jim and Sue Corbett, will be held July 6th from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Community Center, Sugar Bush Lane.
The course is required for anyone 10 to 18 years old to operate a motor boat and mandatory for everyone 14 and older wishing to operate a jet-ski.
There is no charge for the under 18 course materials, however, for those 18 and older there will be a $10 fee made payable to the NYS Department of Parks & Recreation. Call 265-4354 for to register.
