OSWEGO, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Pat Peterson Invitational hosted by Oswego State this afternoon. The women finished sixth, while the men were 12th.
Just as she did a week ago, graduate student Hollie Heimer led the women's team with a 5k time of 19:47.6 for an 11th place finish. Freshman Hannah Groshner was the next Bear to cross the finish line at 21:14.7. Freshman Olivia Rehm posted a time of 22:42.5 to round out the top three.
Junior James Burton paced the Potsdam men with an 8k time of 32:33.4. Freshman Zach Fanion was just 11 seconds behind Burton at 32:44 and sophomore Jonathan Doane finished in 22:26.3.
The cross country teams hit the course again next Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. at the North Country Invitational hosted by St. Lawrence.
