To the Editor:

I would like to thank North Country This Week for publishing my picture and story. It was because of your newspaper and online site that I found my forever home with Gabe and his family.

So many people wanted to adopt me or wished that they could. I selected the best home for me…a home with patience and love, and a runner!

I am happy, have my own kids, and getting my exercise! Life is good again.

Oh, I visited those good folks at the Potsdam shelter, and loved seeing them again, but my place is with my own family now.

I’d like to remind you that when you rescue a needy animal by adopting from a shelter, you are making an animal’s life whole again. Potsdam Humane Society kept me for nearly two years before I found my home.

My friend, Abby, a yellow lab mix, has been there nearly as long. Please give her a look…maybe she is for you.
