CANTON -- Students studying anthropology at St. Lawrence University and SUNY Potsdam will go head-to-head in an atlatl battle on Sept. 27.
An atlatl is a primitive hand-held device that uses leverage to throw a spear or dart.
The event will go from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the St. Lawrence University campus. It will be in the quad between Gunnison chapel, the new residence hall, Vilas Hall and Dean Eaton.
