MASSENA – Air Products, in partnership with the Northern New York Community Foundation, announced a $25,000 grant from the Air Products Foundation to support the establishment of the Air Products Greater Massena Scholarship Fund.

Scholarships of up to $5,000 per applicant are available to students who live in St. Lawrence or Franklin counties who are applying for admission in any year of study to a college or university, or vocational, technical, or trade school, a press release from Air Products said.

Students pursuing all avenues of education, including adult learning, are encouraged to apply for the scholarships, though special consideration will be given to students pursuing STEM education, skilled trade sciences, or expressing a specific interest in environmental conservation or clean energy, the release said

“Air Products is committed to sustainable operations and supporting the communities where we live and work. Our team felt there was no better way of expressing that commitment than through the growth and support of a highly skilled workforce that will help sustain the Massena community for generations to come,” said Trip Oliver, director of government and community relations at Air Products.

Air Products has partnered with the Northern New York Community Foundation to oversee the administration of the fund and manage its awards.

“We are grateful to Air Products for their generosity and look forward to having the opportunity to work alongside their team to support students throughout the Massena area,” said Rande Richardson, Community Foundation executive director. “Being able to align with those who have a strong commitment for the betterment the community is an honor.”
