POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Branch of the American Association of University Women book group will discuss “The Zookeeper’s Wife: A War Story” by Diane Ackerman Wednesday, Jan. 9 at noon at Potsdam Public Library.
Naturalist Ackerman tells the true WWII story of the director of the Warsaw zoo and his wife who sheltered 300 Jews and Polish resisters after the German attack and occupation.
The next book will be “Light Between Oceans” by M.L. Stedman Feb. 13. For more information, please call Pat Musante at the library at 265-7230. A brown bag lunch is encouraged.
