To the Editor:
On a beautiful Oct. 4 Sunday afternoon, some 70 walkers in Potsdam raised $1,165 for Raquette Valley Habitat for Humanity.
I want to thank everyone who participated or helped in any way. Special thanks go to organizer Jenna Eliasoph and the other sisters of Zeta Gamma Sigma for all their work prior to the walk, and for registering participants on the 4th, and for bring traffic spotters and walkers.
Many thanks to the walkers from Omega Delta Phi, from Trinity Episcopal Church, Potsdam United Methodist Church and the community at large.
Top fundraiser was Silas Green from Potsdam UMC, who brought in $235 in pledges. Art Johnson from Trinity raised $216.
Thanks as well to all who pledged to support the work of habitat help eligible families to build and own their own homes.
