Former NY-21 Congressional District candidate Aaron Woolf of Elizabethtown has endorsed Emily Martz in the upcoming Democratic primary election.
“On Tuesday morning I will head to the voting booth in Elizabethtown and vote for Emily Martz in the Democratic primary for Congress,” Woolf said in a statement.
In giving Martz the nod, he cited her character and experience.
“Her rural upbringing in a modest, religious household taught her tolerance and humility, and her success in rigorous academic and corporate worlds gave her the grit to achieve in the face of enormous egos and challenges” “…. importantly she has built a unique expertise around economic development, the kind of firsthand knowledge our communities need most.”
Martz said she is “honored to have received the endorsement of a widely respected member of our North Country community and is humbled by the overwhelming support she has received throughout the district ahead of the June 26th Democratic primary.”
Woolf was the Democrats’ congressional candidate in District 21 in 2014, who lost to Republican Elise Stefanik.
